Xiaomi has strengthened its Mi Notebook 14 series in India. The Mi Notebook 14 IC offers similar specifications to its sibling, but adds a webcam over the display. It will be available from Rs 43,999 (~ 601 USD).
Xiaomi first entered the laptop space in India last year with the launch of the Mi Notebook 14 series. Granted, the duo had their problems but they showed promising results. Now the company has announced the Mi Notebook 14 IC, a device which is mainly concerned with solving the problem of the shortcomings of previous models at an affordable price.
Fortunately, some of the strengths of the Mi Notebook 14 series remain, the machine uses a body made of aluminum and magnesium alloy tion, which weighs around 1.5kg, which means that the Mi Notebook 14-IC should remain fairly portable and sturdy.
Internally, the Intel i5-10210U chipset has a boost clock of 4.2 GHz. It's paired with an optional Nvidia MX250 GPU, 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and up to 512 GB SATA 3-based SSD storage. A 46 Whr battery supplies the lot with electricity for up to 10 hours between charging processes and can be filled with a 65 W charging stone.

The biggest improvement over the original Mi Notebook 14 offerings, however, is the inclusion of a web camera. A modest 720p device is now on the display of the Mi Notebook 14 IC. Xiaomi explains that the addition is mainly made for those who work from home and rely on regular communication with their teams.
There is also plenty of I / O. There are two USB 3.1 A ports, a single USB 2.0 port, an HDMI out port, and a 3.5mm combo jack. Dual-band support for Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5 completes the wireless options.
In terms of pricing, Xiaomi puts a slight premium on this webcam. The original Mi Notebook 14 started at 41,999 rupees (~ $ 573). The Mi Notebook 14 IC will start at Rs 43,999 (~ $ 601) and will be available in silver from major Indian retailers.
