On January 7th, Redmi started selling the Redmi K30 5G smartphone for the first time. Although the company announced four smartphone variants when it launched last month, only the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB memory edition was offered for sale last week. After the pre-sale on January 12, Redmi has started selling the two 6 GB RAM variants of the Redmi K30 5G.
As can be seen in the following screenshot, the Redmi K30 5G is now available with 6 GB RAM + 64 GB RAM and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB RAM, apart from its memory variant with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB. The two 6 GB RAM editions of the Redmi K30 5G cost 1,999 yuan (~ $ 290) and 2,299 yuan (~ $ 333) respectively and are available in Deep Sea Blue.
The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage of the Redmi K30 5G, priced at 2,599 yuan (~ USD 377), was only released in Deep Sea Blue last week. As of today, it can be bought in the Huaying Jinghong (red-purple gradient) color variant. The sale of the remaining 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage version is still pending.
Technical data of the Redmi K30 5G
The Redmi K30 5G has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display. In the top right corner of the screen there is an elliptical hole in which there is a dual selfie camera system. The latter consists of a primary 20 megapixel lens and a depth sensor with 2 megapixels. The back of the phone has a vertical quad camera system. It contains the 64-megapixel main lens from Sony IMX686, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel depth assistant lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The snapdragon 765G is located under the hood of the Redmi K30 5G. The phone is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with 30 W quick charge function. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the side. It has a microSD card slot to expand the phone memory. The Android 10 operating system based on MIUI 11 is preinstalled on the Redmi K30 5G.
