OPPO recently made a foray into the smartwatch market with the introduction of the OPPO Watch. The OPPO watch proved to be very popular with fans and could give the company the necessary opening to enter the market for intelligent wearables. To consolidate profits from Oppo Watch, the company has reportedly filed a new patent application for a portable device in China. The patent applies especially to a new smartband.
In the patent application, the smartband was described in such detail that it has a small screen on which the time can be displayed and on which notifications from mobile phones, pedometers, etc. can also be displayed. The contacts on the bottom indicate that the portable device is for magnetic charging and is equipped with a heart rate sensor. Like most smartbands on the market, it will also act as a fitness tracker.
The design also shows a metal ring that surrounds the outside of the pebble-shaped device. Although this makes it look unique, we cannot say why the company chose such a design. There is a groove on one side of the metal ring, which can be a pressure sensitive button to wake up the device. There are also openings on both sides of the smartband where the straps are likely to fit. NEXT: OnePlus 8 TPU case is available for sale on GizTop. confirms design
