Motorola Android smartphones have been running near Android since they were purchased by Google. The trend followed when the company was sold to Lenovo . However, the pace of updates has slowed down over the years. To fix this, the brand joined the Android One program and the first phone in the series was Motorola One . Still, this device gets its stable Android 10 update six months after Google's release.
Motorola One was launched in October 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo on board. It is a newly bathed Motorola P30 Play that is sold in China for international markets. The handset received the Android 9.0 update two months after its launch (December 2018). In fact, the brand could have launched the phone with Android Pie immediately, as the latest version of Android was announced at that time two months before the phone was launched (August 2018) .
As Android One device, the Motorola One should receive two system updates and three years of security patches. And so the company has finally started to release the Android 10 update for this handset, but as usual late. As of now, the update is only available in Brazil.
The Android 10 Android 10 update for Motorola One contains the build number QPK30.54-22 and the security patch for February 2020. As the brand releases the last beta build as a stable update for the public, the security patch is older. If you are using the Brazilian model, you can download the official Fastboot update file and install it manually using the link below.
